Merry Xmas!

Quick note to tell all Merry Christmas! And, I was recently told that the 'x' in "xmas" is actually the greek orthodox way to wish someone a merry CHRISTmas........so now the Christians can chill out. Anyhow, Erin, Sam, and I are all doing fine. I think we may have found a place to move. And we all wish you a merry christmas with many blessings from family and friends. Enjoy the season, and enjoy your breaks. God Bless

sweet babies, snow, scallops, and strings...

So, the sweet baby part, that's her up there! My second niece is named Toby Grace. She was born sometime recently, had a specific weight (over 9lbs, if I remember right!), wears clothes, sleeps a lot, and is so stinkin cute. My first niece makes for an awesome big sister. I wish I had more info, but I'm lame, and too many things happen in life. All you need know is that she is a dollface and she loves Uncle Jon more than anyone (especially more than aunt erin....boo!)

I had no picture for either snow or scallops, so I figured that before I told you what those were, I'd treat you to a picture of a chubby guy and a hot girl. The pic is me and Erin at my school's Centennial extravaganza! (great mini lamb chops!). So, for the snow....Pittsburgh was cold! I arrived for my ortho interview, and it was a balmy 19 degrees. Long story short, many mullets, fantastic program, and a great trip. I liked the place........especially the french onion soup at my hotel! I know, I like food. Now for the scallops........dang, food again! USC interview came a week later. Now to make that story short too.....ghetto place, great program, great people, and scallops wrapped in bacon! I really did treat myself to quite a few of those bad boys. Good story from there? I had forgotten my belt early that morning, and one group of interviewers asked at the start if I was nervous, and I replied: "Boys, I'm not even wearing a belt, how nervous can I be?!" I don't know how, but I tend to remain calm and be myself through this crazy time. Fun stuff.

The strings? Just happened tonight. I came across this video of a guy named Andy Mckee. Unbelievable. I'll post the link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4 . This guy plays the guitar, and it just makes you want to smile and rock an air guitar. So relaxing. Anyhow, what's new for Erin and I? Well, we have to move, so be praying that we can find a place.....within the next two weeks. Erin is still teaching, Christmas approaches, Erin's mom and step dad come in soon permanently from Indy, and I'm just taking an elective in anatomy with some friends.

Where's the beef?

So, this post has nothing to do with beef, and nothing to do with someone searching for beef. Just us. Fun stuff....

We had a great Christmas/Thanksgiving with my mom and Jerry and Kim. Kim is Jerry's daughter, by the way. It was a blast. It's always nice doing nothing with family. You know what I mean, everyone just sitting around and talking about nothing important, just fun. We just needed a fireplace to be blazing. They thought we were weird for being so cold, but I say phooey to all them......65 degrees is freezing!

Erin and I are over the nasty bugs we had. We feel much better, and we're heading into a week that should be interesting. Erin has a bunch of school stuff, Sampson's visit to the vet, and putting up with my sarcastic wit. I, on the other hand have nothing. I wake up and decide whether or not to put on pants.........and I think that's how God wanted it.......name a few animals, lounge in paradise, no such thing as pants. I actually do have an interview for Ortho in Pittsburgh on friday. I fly out on Thursday, so prayers would be appreciated. I like the school from what I've read, now I get a chance to see it in person, and see the people that work there. Go Pittsburgh......thundercats? Oh, Panthers.
